ECAT 2018 - Guidance and Updates - Stay Tuned !

ECAT is a pre-requisite for admission in UET Lahore and its affiliated institutions and some other public sector engineering institutions as well in Punjab. Some private institutions also require ECAT as a pre-requisite. Students should prepare for their F.Sc examinations well, so that they can easily prepare for ECAT after that. The ECAT is usually conducted in month of July and the registrations starts 5 weeks before that . After getting selected, classes commences in October.

It is Combined Entry Test 2018 for admission in Engineering Institutions Of the Punjab for
(1) B.Sc. Engineering Programs
(2) B.Sc. Engineering Technology Programs

Important Dates

• ECAT 2018 has held on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 10:00 A.M.

• Registration for ECAT was started from Monday, June 11, 2018.

• Entry Test tokens was available from the designated HBL branches on payment of Rs 550/- from 11th June, 2018 to 3rd July, 2018.

• Last date for Data Entry (Online Registration) and Generation of ADMIT CARD online was 4th July 2018. Reprint of Admit Cards is permitted until the day of the test.

How to register for ECAT 2018

The Registration process for ECAT 2018 has started. The whole process is online. Here is the official UET registration portal, keep visiting to stay updates. Link is below:

Just follow the following steps for ECAT 2018 registration.


Step 1: Buy ECAT 2018 Token worth Rs. 550/-  from any designated HBL Branch

Step 2: Now go to UET Admission Portal and then click on "Entry Test Registration Form".

Step 3: Login at admission.uet.edu.pk using the information given on your token (5 Digits Serial Number & 14 Digits Token Number provided on token purchased).

Step 4: Fill your personal details as required in the registration form.

Step 5: After filling all the details,  Now upload you Picture and select the nearest Test Center. Picture should be in JPG or PNG format and maximum size can be 1 MB. Picture should contain only you and a light background. Selected Test Center with caution because once selected it can not be changed. Choose the one which is nearest to you so you would reach easily at 9 A.M.

Step 6: After filling the form, uploading the picture and selecting your test center. Now you would be able to see your ADMIT CARD. It is mandatory for sitting in the test so make sure to print it out and take it with you on the test day.

Step 7: (Tips) Now get yourself prepared for the test, and reach your test center at 9 am 15 July, 2018. Make sure to leave the home as early as possible because on test day there is a lot of traffic around test centers because every year approximately 45,000 students take this combined entry test.
