ECAT 2019 Preparation for Success

ECAT 2019 will be held on 14th July, 2019. No time to waste. This short preparation time will either make or break your future. So stop slagging off and get to work!
ECAT (Engineering Colleges Admission Test) is a MCQ’s based exam that is a compulsory option to be taken by candidates who want to take admission in UET and associated Engineering Universities. Although many engineering universities like NUST, PIEAS, GIKI etc do not require ECAT and have their own entry test for interested candidates

ECAT 2019 Test Preparation

UET ECAT 2019 for admission in the engineering institutions of Punjab will be be conducted on July 2019. Direct Date Team being a part of University of Engineering and Technology,thinks it a responsibility to guide the students who are preparing to appear in the ECAT. Let discuss some major things about ECAT 2019.

What is ECAT?

Engineering College Entry Test (ECAT) is combined entry test for admission in Engineering institutions of the Punjab for B.Sc. Engineering programs; and B.Sc Technology programs at UET Lahore and its affiliated colleges.Every year it is conducted in the month of July.This year it will be conducted on July 2019.

Who can Apply?

Applicants who have passed or have appeared in F.Sc. / Intermediate, B.Sc., DAE, B.Tech. (Pass), or any Equivalent Examination may apply for Entry Test. However, appearance in UET Lahore Entry Test does not confer the right to apply for admission at UET Lahore and its campuses/constituent college. List of eligible disciplines of DAE and B.Tech. Test Pattern
ECAT test has a total of 400 marks.There are about 100 MCQs, each MCQ carries 4 marks.The entry test has four different combinations of subjects depending upon your intermediate subjects.These combinations are as follows:

(i) Physics-30%; (ii) Mathematics-30%; (iii) English-10% & (iv) Chemistry 30%;
(i) Physics-30%; (ii) Mathematics-30%; (iii) English-10% & (iv) Computer Science 30%;
(i) Physics-30%; (ii) Mathematics-30%; (iii) English-10% & (iv) Statistics 30%;
(i) Physics-30%; (ii) Chemistry-30%; (iii) English-10% & (iv) Biology 30%

ECAT Past Papers

Preparing Past Papers of any test, is the best way to prepare that test in short time and get good marks. Past Papers really help in understanding the test, you can quickly get a sense of difficulty level, what kind of questions are asked? and how are they asked? Preparation Material - UET ECAT 2019 Test

UET ECAT Test consist of 100 MCQ's in which 10 from English, 30 from mathematics/Biology, 30 from Physics, and 30 from optional subject Chemistry/Computer/Statistics. Each MCQ carry 4 Marks So Total Marks are (100*4=) 400. Each of 3 Science subjects has equal weight in the test. So prepare them well.
