UET Postgraduate MSc MPhil  Admissions 2020

University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore has released the schedule of its postgraduate admissions for the year 2020. The details are presented below.

For 2020 admissions, UET is offering Masters Degree in about 45 disciplines, M.Phil in 5 discipline and Ph.d in 22 disciplines.  

Eligibility Criteria 

1. At least 50% marks in the Subject Test conducted by the respective department.
2. Accredited Undergraduate Degree in relevant discipline from an HEC recognized University.
3. At least 60% marks under annual / term system OR CGPA of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0 under semester system.

Important Information

• For filling the application on-line and for viewing eligibility requirements of each program, visit admission.uet.edu.pk
• Separate applications are required for applying into morning or weekend programs in each discipline
• The prospectus will be available from 24th August 2020 until 4th September 2020 on payment of Rs 1000/- from HBL UET Branch. Applications will be received in the respective departments during office hours until Friday 4th September 2020.
• Few scholarships are available for students admitted in Center of Excellence in Water Resource Engineering (CEWRE)
• Hostel Accommodation is provided subject to the availability of space

 Filling And Submission of Postgraduate Admission Form

1-How to complete the online Application Form 

1. You can fill the admission application form by logging into http://admission.uet.edu.pk
2. You will fill the data as required
3. After completing the application, attach the declaration/checklist form available in the prospectus along with your application and submit it with the copies of the following documents:
1. Declaration Form
2. Copy of the B.Sc. degree or provisional certificate. 
3. Copy of the Detail Marks Certificate/ Transcript. 
4. Copy of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC)/ PCATP registration card, if required. 
5. Copy of domicile certificate
6. Copy of CNIC 

 2-Submission of Application

Applications will be submitted in the concerned department. Applications submitted by Courier/ Post will not be accepted.

UET Postgraduate Merit 2020

In order to determine the merit for admission, the marks obtained by a candidate in the test and interview will also be added to the academic marks obtained by him as given below:-

Academic (UG)   ____    40 marks 

Test                       ____    40 marks 

Interview             ____    20 marks

Academic marks will be computed from the raw marks earned under the annual system. In the case of semester system, a CGPA of 2.5/4.0 will be converted to 60% and a CGPA of 4.0/4.0 will be converted to 90% and CGPAs falling in between will be interpolated linearly. 

Academic merit marks will be computed after this conversion.  

UET Postgraduate Application Fee 2020

• The price of the Prospectus and Application Form is Rs. 400/-. The application processing fee is Rs. 600/- for all postgraduate programs except Ph.D. Both are to be paid at the time of purchase of prospectus
• The application and processing fee once remitted shall not be refunded. 
• Candidates wishing to apply for admission into more than one department will be required to pay Rs 1000/- as prospectus and processing fee for each. Thus, candidates applying to the two departments will fill two application forms and pay Rs. 2000/= (Rs. 1000/- with each application).   

Receipt of Applications

• Applications for all campuses will be received in respective departments in Lahore Campus. 
• Applications for M.Sc. Energy Engineering (KSK Campus) will be received in the Khawarizmi Institute of CS, Lahore Campus. 
• Applications for M.Sc. Textile & Materials Engineering will be received in the Admission Office Lahore Campus.
• Applications for M.Sc. Thermo fluid Engineering will be received in the Mechanical Engineering Department Lahore Campus. 
• Applications received via courier/ mail will not be entertained. 
• Applications will be received until 3:30 pm 4 th September 2020. 

Selected Candidates

A list of selected candidates will be put up on the University notice boards and on the UET website “http://admission.uet.edu.pk” as well. Kindly note that no written offer letter would be dispatched to selected candidates. It is the responsibility of the candidate to remain abreast with the status of admissions as available on the website and on the notice boards.
